CNC Press Brake Folding Sydney — Precision Sheet Metal Bending
CNC press brake services transforming flat sheet metal into precise formed components. 7-axis backgauge control, up to 150-ton capacity, and 4-metre bed length for server rack enclosures, brackets, chassis, and complex multi-bend assemblies from our Wetherill Park facility in Western Sydney.
Metal Folding Explained
CNC metal folding, also known as press brake forming, uses a hydraulic press to bend flat sheet metal into three-dimensional shapes. Modern CNC press brakes with multi-axis backgauges enable complex multi-bend sequences with consistent accuracy across production volumes, making them essential for manufacturing enclosures, brackets, chassis, and formed assemblies.
At CNC Industries, our metal folding services integrate directly with our laser cutting operation, providing a complete cut-and-fold workflow that reduces handling, improves dimensional accuracy, and shortens lead times.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is CNC press brake folding?
CNC press brake folding is a precision sheet metal forming process where a hydraulic ram forces a punch into sheet metal resting on a die, creating accurate bends. CNC control ensures repeatable angles and positions across production runs.
What thickness can be folded?
We fold mild steel from 0.5mm to 12mm, stainless steel from 0.5mm to 8mm, and aluminium from 0.5mm to 10mm. Maximum bend length is 4 metres.
Can you fold stainless steel?
Yes, we fold stainless steel grades 304 and 316 up to 8mm thick. Stainless requires more tonnage and careful springback compensation, which our CNC press brake handles automatically.
